中田 笑美子（なかた えみこ）

アーティスト

1971年、大阪生まれ。大阪芸術大学工芸学科卒業。

幼い頃からアートに親しみ、堺市展で「奨励賞」「ロータリー賞」をいただきました。
一時は子育てに専念するためアートの世界から離れましたが、2023年に活動を再開。

その夏、突然ヲシテ文字たちが私の中で"キャラクター"として動き出しました。
その日から描き続けて、今までに400点を超える作品たち。
まるで文字たちが、笑ったり、話しかけたりしてくるようです。

見るたびにふっと笑顔になる

「ホツマツタヱ」のヲシテ文字と言霊（ことだま）をモチーフにした「ヲシテん」。
古代文字のちからと、今のトキメキが出会う、やさしい和のぬくもりと、ゆるくてかわいい癒しのアート。
そんなヲシテ文字たちの世界を楽しんでいただけたら嬉しいです。

Born in Osaka, 1971. Graduated from Osaka University of Arts, Department of Crafts.

I've loved art since childhood and received the "Encouragement Award" and "Rotary Award" at the Sakai City Exhibition.
I stepped away from the art world for a while to focus on raising my child, but returned to creating in 2023.

That summer, the Woshite characters suddenly came alive in my mind as "characters."
I've been drawing ever since, creating over 400 works.
It's as if the letters are smiling at me, talking to me.

A smile every time you see them.

"Woshiten" is inspired by the Woshite characters and kotodama (spirit of words) from "Hotsuma Tsutae."
Where the power of ancient letters meets the excitement of today—gentle Japanese warmth and soft, cute, healing art.
